Description
I made an object head cosplay of Bill Cipher for my second day at RealmsCon. And I completely underestimated the amount of people that would recognize this character. Like...dang, I barely walked three steps and people started asking for pictures. I haven't done many cosplays, and the ones I've done were of characters that weren't too popular at the time, so this was a really strange situation for me...
The head and cane construction was a joint effort between me and my dad, who had all of the fancy tools to make sure the triangle head was perfectly lined up and as equilateral as possible. I made the tailed vest, and added the neat little design on the back with some Heat n' Bond UltraHold. Some of the squares began to peel off a little at the end of the con, so some repairs were needed, but other than that, everything worked out quite nicely. Oh, and I made a bowtie, too! It's there around my neck- it's just hard to see.
My original plan for the vest was to find some yellow and brown plaid to simulate the brick lines on Bill's body, but I settled on some yellow with light-brown stripes fabric, so it's still kind of the same effect, just a bit subtler and with horizontal lines only.
I couldn't see out of the eye hole too well, and I was worried about people being in my blindspots to the sides of my head, so I just went around with my triangle head lifted up a bit and peeked out around at the crowd. I felt like a shy turtle, but at least it allowed me to avoid bumping into people. I feel like I may have tilted my head a lot in my photos...this was unintentional- I just can't see too well with the head on, and in order to see straight ahead, I have to look at stuff at an angle. But I guess it kind of adds to the quirkiness of the character...so no harm done.
I'm just so glad that so many people liked my costume...I met several Dippers, a few Mabels, and a Wendy, and they were all awesome. And people kept asking me for hugs, I got high-fived, I got called an angry illuminati dorito, and even got to hear the lovely chant of BILLBILLBILLBILL at least once. Good times.

This is an incredible cosplay! I would like to do an object head Bill cosplay as well. How did you do the bottom of the head? Is it covered? (I'm wondering how the head is supported.)
